Capt. Endre Lekven

After his time at sea as a deck officer on various ship types and with various shipping companies, Endre Lekven joined Hoegh Autoliners in February 1997(Then Hoegh Ugland Autoliners) and stayed with this company until January 2008.

He started as a Port Captain. After three year, he began to work with the "Hualization" program while still working as a port Captain. "Hualization" was the name of HUAL's training program geared towards Stevedores and Crew onboard HUAL vessels.

In 2000 , Endre Lekven moved down to Durban, South Africa in order to be the HUAL representative for Southern Africa/Indian Ocean. The main focus would be operational and cargo handling follow up, but also encompassed commecial follow up of customers.

In 2003, Endre Lekven returned to HUAL's headquarters in Oslo, Norway as the Cargo Handling Manager for Europe, responsible for HUAL's European Port Captains and Cargo Handling Quality. After two years, he began as the Purchasing/Quality Manager in Europe with special focus on negotiating and follow up of contracts between HUAL and terminals, stevedores, tally, survey ,tugboat companies and port authorities.

In 2006, Endre Lekven became the Senior Manager for Port Services Europe, Responsible for claims, survey, quality, purchasing, implementation/follow up of international regulations and quality contact towards Euopean manufacturers

In January 2008, Endre Lekven decided to start by himself, and created the company Lekven Shipping. Lekven shipping is delivering Marine surveying and SuperCargo services.
