Korean car carrier player Hyundai Glovis is lining up a new order worth KRW 148bn ($134m).

The company wants two vessels for its money, it said in a regulatory filing on Monday, without giving further details.

In May, TradeWinds reported Glovis was scaling down its plans for pure car/truck carrier (PCTC) newbuildings.

The Seoul-based logistic group had planned to contract three 6,000-car-equivalent unit (ceu) vessels to meet growing demand.

It booked two bigger 6,500-ceu ships instead at Hyundai Heavy Industries.
