With a proven track record of hands-on experience, handling all sorts of RORO commodities as well as heavy lift/project cargoes and with my in-depth local knowledge of Western European ports, I will prove to be an invaluable asset to Ship Owners and Shippers/Cargo and  Project Owners alike by planning and supervise load and discharge operations all over Europe.

Stowing a vessel when taking load rotation and discharge rotation into account, is a difficult task which needs knowledge and experience to get a good result. If this is not done propely it can lead to:

  • Poor stowage utilization which can lead to booked cargo being left behind and loss in revenue
  • Poor CBM utilization resulting in a worse financial result than actually possible.
  • Cargo not loaded safely, which can result in damage to to cargo and vessel
  • Wrong loading according to discharge sequence which will lead to shifting in discharge port increasing the risk of damages and delays.

With proper planning the amount of shifting can be reduced to a minimum both in loadports and discharge ports. This will reduce the stevedore cost, reduce number of damages and possibly avoid costly delays.

By using the best possible panel configuration (on vessels with liftable panels) the amount of cargo to be loaded can be increased substantially. On some of the large PCTC's it has been known that the total freight of a voyage has been increased with up to USD 400.000 due to proper utilization of the liftable panels. One extra panel utilized will create enough freight equal to the cost the services of our port cargo services. When taking into account that there is up to 100 panels on some of the larger pctc's, the impact on voyage revenue is quite obvious.
